Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, Kim Baker sold her first home at the age of ten when her parents placed a For Sale sign in the front yard and left her home with a babysitter while they went away for the weekend. Little did she know that after a rewarding career in Sales and Marketing at Levi Strauss & Co. she would be drawn back to her passion for selling homes with her move to Scottsdale, Arizona.
Kim Baker began her real estate career in 2001 with Coldwell Banker Pinnacle Peak. In 2005 she was invited to join the Equitable Real Estate Company, a boutique company targeting the luxury market in Carefree/Cave Creek, Scottsdale, Phoenix and Paradise Valley, which eventually affiliated with Sotheby’s International Realty. In late 2008, the company combined with another powerhouse in the local market to become Russ Lyon | Sotheby’s International Realty, which is now the #1 luxury real estate brand in the state of Arizona.
The combination of Kim’s thorough market knowledge, exceptional follow-through and common sense are the hallmarks of her continued success and referral-based business. She approaches real estate as a trusted guide rather than a salesperson. “People buying or selling a home don’t need to be ‘sold' on what is right for them. My job is to provide them with all the real estate information and education they need to make informed decisions and to act as their advocate and guide in helping them secure what they want.”
